The Shelf Life Management module offers tools to help keep the knowledgebase current and accurate.
Items Due to Expire
Knowledgebase contributors can set an expiration date for each item. The system can be scheduled to scan the
entire knowledgebase periodically for items that are due to expire.
Contributor Notification
Contributors receive email reminding them to attend to items that are approaching expiration. A designated
administrator is notified as well. Contributors can view a list of items due to expire, and their status.
Resolution Wizards
Contributors can use online wizards to update or archive an item, or extend its shelf life, quickly and easily.
Contributors who do not take action receive a second email notice after the expiration date has passed notifying them
that their expired items have been automatically removed from circulation. If needed, a contributor can always update
the item and return it to action.
